Nanochloropsus Japanese Chlorella

Nanochloropsus, Japanese Chlorella, is a non motile phytoplankton that is used in our Rotifer blend. This strain of Chlorella is more dense than our chlorella strains. 

Chlorella are spherical in shape between 2-10um in diameter, doen't have a flagella and are non motile. This strain multiples rapidly, requiring very little care. Chlorella is high in protein, fats and essential nutrients including chlorophyll-a and -b and has vitamins A, B1 and B3.

When culturing pods or rotifers Chlorella offers great nutrition to nauplii and rotifers allowing for more growth and colonization, we see our best growth in rotifers when feeding this strain.
