This culture has been really fun! Dosing silicate water was very interesting, the precipitation was intense, I’d never used it before. Thalassiosira weissfloggii is really easy to grow and most importantly, my pods and brine LOVE IT. My pods get extremely active when I feed, it’s really cool seeing copepods get excited. I tried growing t-iso and had a contamination issue on my end, so wanted a less finicky species that still has all the good fats and this seems to fit my needs perfectly! I’ve already split my culture once and it’s bubbling along happily turning a nice golden brown.
I think the title speaks for itself. Skylar is an absolutely WONDERFUL vendor, and person, to deal with. He truly cares about what he does, the product he provides, and both strives and THRIVES when it comes to communication and a willingness to do whatever it takes to make u happy. I often feel as though I’m his “favorite “ customer, lol. Although, I also get a sense that that’s just the way he makes everyone feel, as he’s super kind and treats u more like a friend than a customer. I’m so glad that I stumbled onto Reef Legends (pretty much by accident), about 1-2 years ago now, and I plan to be a customer, and friend, for life. And I dont think its by any accident that my reef tanks have all become so much more vibrant, healthy, happy and full of life since the day I began using reef legends as my main source for live feeds. I actually use both Reef Legends (phyto: 12 species blend, t-iso, and Rhodo Salina/Lens; live Rotifers, and copepods) and the PNS line (Yello Sno, ProBio, and Deep cycle) in conjunction with each other, which has become a true cocktail for all my reefing success. And both I, and my reefs, have never been happier…or looked better…in all the years I’ve been in the hobby/lifestyle! Thanku Reef Legends & thanku Skylar!
