Dunaliella tertiolecta, a motile phytoplankton, is a single-celled, photosynthetic green algae, that is characteristic for its ability to outcompete other phytoplanktons. Will accumulate relatively large amounts of carotenoids and is an important food source for artemia (brine shrimp) 

Dunaliella is one of the fastest and easiest growing phytoplanktons out there. While having the ability to contaminant other strains when not properly handled. If you're looking into growing your first phytoplankton strains we recommend this strain as its one of the most forgiving and fastest growing for density. Will handle higher salinity levels as the culture water evaporates you don't have to worry about topping off this strain.
