Love the rhodo culture. Two very dark harvests so far. Pods and rotifers love it. NPS and sponges seem to be responding well too.

Isochrysis galbana requires overnight shipping and to have the culture running the day of arrival to get our 3 day guarantee.
Isochrysis galbana can have issues and does not tolerate being refrigerated before culturing. This strain can crash frequently, it is recommended to keep a back up going incase of a crash. Upon arrival it is recommended to keep in lower light or non direct light for the first few days after receiving.
Isochrysis galbana is known for is rich gold coloration, aka Tahitian gold blend of phytoplankton. One of two algae's that contain high fucoxanthin and gallic acid content with significant antioxidant activity.(Foo et al., 2017) science direct.com
Isochrysis galbana is a haptophyta micro algae, is a rich in PUFAs, EPA and DHA known for its carotenoids and chlorophyll. This strain blooms heavy and provides excellent nutrition for pods, rotifers and corals.

David Consalvi The Isochrysis was very high quality and has cultured very well. I ordered from another source prior to Reef Legends and it was no where near as good. The quality of the RL monoculture was clean and easy to grow. I will order from Reef Legends again.
